Also Harvey The Sock Puppet: Origins. At some point now I’m going to have to do a retroactive time travelling reboot of the Ceiling Squid and Harvey.

I wish I could tell you what I have planned for the rest of this storyline, but I feel like it would be counterproductive to tell everyone ahead of time. Rest assured questions will be asked, different questions will be answered, Mal will be tormented and there will be at least one severe bout of unreality sickness*.

Have you guys read The Doom That Came to Gotham? It’s a Lovecraftian Batman comic that recasts the Caped Crusader and his roster of villains as characters in a Lovecraftian Pulp Horror. It could have been terribly cheesey, but instead it’s been played straight in the best way, and the result is a fascinating combination of Batman’s own particular brand of madness and Lovecraft’s more gibbering, tentacular insanity. A friend of mine lent me his copies, but if you want to buy your own you can get a collected edition of Batman: The Doom That Came To Gotham by Mike Mignolia here.

I’m afraid I don’t have any news other than that, but if there’s anything happening in the wider world of Lovecraft that you’d like to tell me about, let me know in the comments.

Until next time folks may your enemies be unable to cut their toenails. Ever.
