Never underestimate an idiot with a brick backed up by a giant roof dwelling cephalopod.

The world is a strange place full of strange things. In the world of the working human, the reverence we have for coffee is one of those things. I know, objectively speaking, that the love I have for a cup of hot water tainted with ground beans is a combination of learned dependence and the chemical effect said bean juice has on my brain…but subjectively I still smile when I get my first cup of the morning.

I’m not sure if any of you saw the episode of Futurama where Fry drank one hundred cups of coffee and thereby gained super powers, but I can say from personal experience that this will not work for non-cartoon humans. At about cup four or five things will start happening to you, but they will not be super.

We are closing in on the end of the season, and there will be a week or two of filler comics before we get into season four. I know more or less where the story is going, but I’m going to leave plenty of room for one shot comics.

Other updates of both stuff and things. First, a book recommendation: Neil Gaiman’s Trigger Warning: Short Fictions and Disturbances is well worth your time to read it. Not all of the stories are Lovecraftian, but several definitely are and others are Lovecraftian in spirit if not style. All in all a very fun read, although I will say the book is aptly named; there are a couple of stories that I found disturbing and I love horror fiction.

Do you have Lovecraftian book recommendations for us? Let me know in the comments!

Until next time everyone, may your enemies long for a place that has never existed.
